What is CVE-2020-37247?

The Kite 4.2.0.1 U1 version contains an unquoted service path vulnerability in the KiteService Windows service. This flaw permits local attackers to escalate their privileges by exploiting the service’s binary path. By placing a malicious executable in the Program Files directory, attackers can execute it with LocalSystem privileges when the service starts. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, allowing unauthorized users to gain elevated access on affected systems.
