Use-After-Free Vulnerability in VMware ESXi and Workstation Products
CVE-2020-3962
What is CVE-2020-3962?
VMware ESXi, Workstation, and Fusion are exposed to a use-after-free vulnerability in the SVGA device. If a malicious actor gains local access to a virtual machine that has 3D graphics enabled, they may exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary code on the hypervisor from the compromised virtual machine. This could lead to significant security risks, allowing attackers to manipulate the virtual environment and potentially manipulate other virtual machines running on the same hypervisor.
