What is CVE-2020-5801?
An attacker can exploit a vulnerability in the FactoryTalk Linx software by sending a crafted OpenNamespace message to port 4241 with a valid session-id. This action triggers an unhandled exception within the CFTLDManager::HandleRequest function located in the RnaDaSvr.dll component. As a result, this may lead to unexpected process termination, impacting the reliability of the FactoryTalk Linx software used in various industrial automation systems.
