What is CVE-2020-5802?
A vulnerability exists in RSLinxNG related to improper handling of memory allocation in the RnaDaSvr.dll. By sending a specially crafted ConfigureItems message to TCP port 4241, an attacker can exploit this vulnerability to trigger an unhandled exception, leading to the termination of the RSLinxNG.exe process. This issue affects RSLinxNG in various versions, including FactoryTalk 6.11, potentially exposing users to disruption and instability within their systems.
