What is CVE-2020-5942?
In specific versions of F5 BIG-IP PEM, a vulnerability exists where the Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) fails to handle Capabilities-Exchange-Answer (CEA) packets correctly. This flaw can result in the generation of a core file, forcing the TMM to restart. The issue arises when TMM processes certain attributes sent by the Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) server, potentially disrupting service and stability in affected systems.
