What is CVE-2020-7676?

Angular.js versions prior to 1.8.0 are susceptible to a cross-site scripting vulnerability due to improper handling of HTML input. The regex-based HTML input sanitization mechanism can inadvertently convert sanitized code back into an unsanitized state. This occurs particularly when elements are nested within elements, altering the expected parsing behavior and potentially leading to malicious script injection. It is crucial for users and developers leveraging vulnerable versions of Angular.js to upgrade to at least version 1.8.0 to mitigate this risk.
