What is CVE-2020-8517?
An issue has been identified in Squid versions before 4.10 where incorrect input validation in the NTLM authentication credentials parser can cause memory writes outside the intended buffer. This flaw can lead to unexpected termination of the helper process and, consequently, the Squid process itself, resulting in a denial of service for all connected clients utilizing the proxy.
