What is CVE-2020-8990?

The My Cloud Home and ibi products from Western Digital have been discovered to contain a session fixation vulnerability. This flaw allows an attacker to hijack a user’s session by exploiting the way session management is implemented, potentially leading to unauthorized access to sensitive information and user accounts. Users are encouraged to update to version 3.6.0 or later to mitigate this issue.
