What is CVE-2020-8990?

The My Cloud Home and ibi products from Western Digital have been discovered to contain a session fixation vulnerability. This flaw allows an attacker to hijack a user’s session by exploiting the way session management is implemented, potentially leading to unauthorized access to sensitive information and user accounts.
