What is CVE-2020-9004?

A remote authenticated authorization-bypass vulnerability exists in Wowza Streaming Engine versions 4.8.0 and earlier, which lets any read-only user access the administration panel and perform unauthorized actions. This includes enabling the Java JMX port in an unauthenticated state, allowing the execution of operating system commands with root privileges. The problem was addressed in version 4.8.5 of the Wowza Streaming Engine.
