What is CVE-2020-9296?

Netflix's Titus platform contains a vulnerability that allows attackers to exploit the Java Bean Validation framework by injecting arbitrary data into the error message templates used within the custom constraint validators. This can enable the execution of arbitrary Java code through the misuse of ConstraintValidatorContext.buildConstraintViolationWithTemplate() method. If successful, this vulnerability could lead to severe security implications, allowing an attacker to gain unauthorized control over the affected system.
