What is CVE-2021-21555?
Dell PowerEdge servers, specifically the R640, R740, R740XD, R840, R940, R940xa, MX740c, MX840c, and T640 models, contain a vulnerability in their BIOS when NVDIMM-N memory modules are installed. This issue allows a local malicious user with high-level privileges to exploit the heap-based buffer overflow. The potential consequences include denial of service, arbitrary code execution, or unauthorized information disclosure within the UEFI or BIOS Preboot Environment.
