What is CVE-2021-21663?
The Jenkins XebiaLabs XL Deploy Plugin contains an insufficient permission check in versions 7.5.8 and earlier. This flaw allows attackers with Overall/Read permission to connect to a URL specified by the attacker while using attacker-controlled credential IDs. Consequently, this can lead to the exposure of sensitive username and password information stored in Jenkins. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability through alternative methods to gain access to valid credentials, potentially jeopardizing the security posture of affected Jenkins instances.
