What is CVE-2021-21836?
An integer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the MPEG-4 decoding functionality of the GPAC Project's Advanced Content Library version 1.0.1. By sending a specially crafted MPEG-4 file utilizing the 'ctts' FOURCC code, an attacker can exploit unchecked arithmetic, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow. This vulnerability can cause significant memory corruption, potentially compromising the system when a user opens a malicious video file.
