What is CVE-2021-21849?

An integer overflow vulnerability in the GPAC Project's Advanced Content Library allows an attacker to exploit specially crafted MPEG-4 files. When the library processes a video file containing an atom with the 'tfra' FOURCC code, unchecked arithmetic can lead to a heap-based buffer overflow and memory corruption. By persuading a user to open a malicious video, potential attackers can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code or disrupt system integrity.
