Integer Truncation Vulnerability in MPEG-4 Decoding for GPAC Project on Advanced Content Library
CVE-2021-21860
What is CVE-2021-21860?
The GPAC Project's Advanced Content library version 1.0.1 contains an integer truncation vulnerability within its MPEG-4 decoding functionality. This flaw can be exploited through specially crafted MPEG-4 input files that lead to improper memory allocation. When an affected user opens a malicious video, it may result in a heap-based buffer overflow, ultimately causing memory corruption. The vulnerability is triggered when the FOURCC code 'trik' is processed by the library's decoding function.
