What is CVE-2021-22681?

Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 Logix Designer and RSLogix 5000 are susceptible to an authentication bypass vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this flaw to circumvent the security mechanisms that validate communication between Logix controllers, including various CompactLogix and ControlLogix models. By exploiting this weakness, an unauthenticated individual could potentially gain unauthorized access to sensitive functionality within affected devices, posing a significant security risk.
