What is CVE-2021-25140?
A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the HPE Moonshot Provisioning Manager v1.20 that could be exploited remotely by unauthenticated attackers. Specifically, the flaw arises from improper handling of user-supplied input to the khuploadfile.cgi CGI application, potentially allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code, compromise system integrity, or cause a denial of service. Notably, HPE has advised users to discontinue the use of this application as it is no longer supported and does not have an available patch.
