What is CVE-2021-27252?

This vulnerability enables network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code on NETGEAR R7800 devices running firmware version 1.0.2.76. The flaw arises due to inadequate validation of user-supplied input during the handling of vendor-specific DHCP opcodes. As a result, attackers can potentially exploit this issue to execute commands in the context of the root user, compromising the integrity of the affected systems without requiring authentication.
