CVE-2021-28136
6.5MEDIUM
What is CVE-2021-28136?
The Bluetooth Classic implementation in Espressif ESP-IDF versions 4.4 and earlier is susceptible to a vulnerability where it fails to correctly manage the reception of multiple LMP IO Capability Request packets during the pairing process. This flaw enables attackers within radio range to exploit the system by replaying duplicated LMP packets, which can lead to memory corruption and potentially crash devices utilizing the ESP32 chipset.
