What is CVE-2021-28154?

Camunda Modeler prior to version 4.6.0 is susceptible to arbitrary file access due to improper handling of IPC messages via the ipcRenderer interface. This vulnerability allows an attacker to exploit the readFile and writeFile APIs, potentially leading to unauthorized access to sensitive files on the system. Although Camunda has implemented measures to prevent the execution of remote scripts and the browsing of unsafe sites, the underlying issue of IPC message manipulation remains a concern for users of affected versions.
