What is CVE-2021-28166?

In Eclipse Mosquitto versions 2.0.0 through 2.0.9, a NULL pointer dereference occurs when an authenticated client, which connects using MQTT v5, sends a specially crafted CONNACK message to the broker. This vulnerability could lead to service disruptions and compromises the integrity of the messaging service.
