Vendor
CVE Published:
30 July 2021

Summary

The node management functionality within the SolarWinds Orion Platform (versions prior to 2020.2.5 HF1) has a security flaw that permits authenticated users with write permissions to create or delete nodes. This weakness arises from predictable node IDs and improper access control in the node management service. An attacker must be a member of a valid group that has management rights, enabling potential alteration of the node management process and operation security.
