What is CVE-2021-29996?

Mark Text versions up to 0.16.3 are susceptible to a vulnerability that enables attackers to execute arbitrary commands. This occurs through the opening of specially crafted .md files, which contain a mutation Cross Site Scripting (XSS) payload. Exploitation of this flaw can lead to Remote Code Execution (RCE), potentially allowing unauthorized actions on the system where the application is running.
