What is CVE-2021-30462?

VestaCP, a popular server management panel by Vesta Solutions, has a vulnerability that enables an admin user to escalate their privileges to root. This risk arises from the Sudo configuration, which mistakenly allows certain scripts located in /usr/local/vesta/bin to be executed without a password. As a result, any authenticated user with administrative access can exploit this weakness to gain unauthorized root access, leading to potential system compromise and data breaches.
