Vulnerability in PwnDoc Affected by Improper Token Handling Leading to Unauthorized Access
CVE-2021-31590
8.8HIGH
What is CVE-2021-31590?
PwnDoc versions before 0.4.0 suffer from an improper handling of JSON Web Tokens, which compromises access control measures. Affected users can continue to hold admin privileges even after being demoted to standard user roles. This flaw allows users to access the admin panel, manage user accounts, and exert full control over the system, regardless of the current permissions assigned to their account. Even account deletions do not prevent access, which poses a significant risk to the integrity and security of the application.
