Arbitrary File Creation Vulnerability in Bitcoin Core by Bitcoin
CVE-2021-3195
7.5HIGH
What is CVE-2021-3195?
An issue in Bitcoin Core allows the 'bitcoind' process to create files in arbitrary directories through the 'dumpwallet' RPC call. While this does not compromise the core security model of Bitcoin Core, it may pose risks to forks of the software that have imposed restrictions on 'dumpwallet' functionality, as it may lead to unintended data exposure.
