What is CVE-2021-34995?

This vulnerability permits remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Commvault CommCell 11.22.22. Though authentication is needed for exploitation, the existing authentication mechanisms can be bypassed. The flaw resides within the DownloadCenterUploadHandler class, primarily due to insufficient validation of user-supplied data. This weakness could enable attackers to upload arbitrary files, ultimately allowing them to execute code under the context of NETWORK SERVICE.
