What is CVE-2021-3606?

OpenVPN for Windows, versions prior to 2.5.3, contains a vulnerability that allows local users to load arbitrary dynamic loadable libraries through an OpenSSL configuration file. This security flaw enables these users to execute arbitrary code with the same privileges as the OpenVPN process (openvpn.exe), potentially compromising the system's security.
