Risk of Remote Code Execution in Barco MirrorOp Windows Sender
CVE-2021-38142
8.8HIGH
What is CVE-2021-38142?
Barco MirrorOp Windows Sender versions prior to 2.5.3.65 are vulnerable due to the use of cleartext HTTP for software updates. This flaw permits attackers on the local network to exploit the unsecured upgrade mechanism. Given that no TLS protection is implemented, malicious actors can impersonate legitimate update sources, leading to unauthorized software installations and potential remote code execution on affected machines.
