What is CVE-2021-39117?

The AssociateFieldToScreens page in Atlassian Jira Server and Data Center versions prior to 8.18.0 contains a Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability that enables remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTML or JavaScript code. This occurs through manipulation of the name of a custom field, potentially allowing attackers to execute scripts in the context of an unsuspecting user's session.
