What is CVE-2021-40845?
The Zenitel AlphaCom XE Audio Server delivers audio services over networks but suffers from a significant security flaw in its web component, AlphaWeb XE. This vulnerability arises from the lack of restrictions on file uploads within the Custom Scripts section, specifically at php/index.php. As a result, attackers can upload malicious files without restriction, leading to the potential execution of arbitrary PHP code within the server's /cmd directory. This oversight not only compromises the integrity of the server but also poses a substantial risk of unauthorized access and control over the vulnerable system.
