What is CVE-2021-40871?

A vulnerability in the Softing Industrial Automation OPC UA C++ SDK allows remote attackers to create a denial of service condition. By sending specially crafted messages to the OPC/UA client, an attacker can trigger a type cast error which results in the client process crashing unexpectedly.
