What is CVE-2021-40873?

A vulnerability in the Softing Industrial Automation OPC UA C++ SDK prior to version 5.66 and uaToolkit Embedded prior to version 1.40 allows remote attackers to induce a denial of service. This occurs when specially crafted messages are sent to a client or server, potentially causing the server process to crash unexpectedly due to a double free error, necessitating a restart to restore service.
