CVE-2021-41590

What is CVE-2021-41590?

In Gradle Enterprise versions through 2021.3, an issue exists where probing the server-side network environment can be exploited via SMTP configuration tests. The installation configuration interface, which is accessible to administrators, includes a functionality that allows testing of SMTP server settings. Utilizing this test function can inadvertently reveal which TCP ports are listening on the server, thereby providing attackers with insights into the structure and vulnerabilities of the internal network.
