What is CVE-2021-41687?
The DCMTK library, up to version 3.6.6, contains a vulnerability due to improper memory management that leads to a memory leak when parsing data. When specific requests are sent to the dcmqrdb program, it can result in unfreed heap memory, creating conditions that may allow an attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack on the application by exhausting available memory resources.
