What is CVE-2021-43099?

The bbs 5.3 version contains an Archive Extraction vulnerability, allowing attackers to exploit the UpgradeNow function in UpgradeManageAction.java. This flaw permits the unzipping of arbitrary uploaded ZIP files without proper filename validation. By crafting a malicious archive with directory traversal sequences, an attacker could potentially overwrite existing files or introduce unauthorized executable files, leading to severe security risks for affected systems.
