A message handling vulnerability exists in HyperLedger Fabric versions v1.4.0, v2.0.0, and v2.1.0, where an attacker can send a specially crafted message with a nil payload to the 'forwardToLeader' method. Exploiting this flaw can cause any leader node to crash, disrupting the operation of the blockchain network.
