What is CVE-2021-44029?

A remote code execution vulnerability exists in Quest KACE Desktop Authority prior to version 11.2. This issue arises from a deserialization exploitation in the RadAsyncUpload function of ASP.NET AJAX. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability if they have access to the encryption keys, which may be exposed through various vulnerabilities, including previous issues documented in CVE-2017-11317 and CVE-2017-11357. More recent versions of ASP.NET AJAX include improvements, such as a default type whitelisting feature that mitigates potential exploitation.
