Nagios XI versions before 5.8.0 have a vulnerability where cross-site scripting (XSS) can occur due to improper URL handling in the Views feature. This flaw stems from inadequate validation or escaping of user input, potentially allowing attackers to inject malicious scripts. When successful, these attacks can execute arbitrary scripts in a victim's browser, leading to unauthorized actions and data exposure.
