What is CVE-2021-47699?

Nagios XI versions prior to 5.8.7 contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability that can be exploited via the Send to NLS form on the Audit Log page. Due to insufficient validation and escaping of user inputs, an attacker may be able to inject arbitrary script code. This can lead to the execution of the malicious script in the context of the victim's browser, potentially compromising user data and session integrity.
