What is CVE-2021-47721?

Orangescrum 1.8.0 is susceptible to a privilege escalation flaw that enables authenticated users to usurp control of project-assigned accounts. This vulnerability occurs when an attacker can manipulate session cookies to gain unauthorized access by extracting a victim's unique user ID from the source code of a page. By substituting their own session cookie with that of the victim, attackers can effectively hijack the victim’s account, leading to serious security breaches.
