What is CVE-2021-47917?

Simple CMS 2.1 contains a persistent cross-site scripting vulnerability that could enable remote attackers to inject malicious scripts through user input parameters. This exploitation can occur within the newUser and editUser modules, allowing attackers to execute injected scripts on user list previews. Such vulnerabilities can lead to session hijacking and unauthorized manipulation of the web application, posing significant risks to users and data integrity.
