What is CVE-2021-47938?
ImpressCMS 1.4.2 has a vulnerability in the autotasks administrative interface that enables authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP code. This is accomplished by injecting malicious code into the sat_code parameter. When attackers authenticate and send a POST request to /modules/system/admin.php?fct=autotasks&op=mod with a crafted sat_code containing PHP commands, it allows the creation of an executable file that can accept arbitrary commands via GET parameters, potentially compromising the integrity and security of the web application.
Affected Version(s)
ImpressCMS 1.4.2
Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
