What is CVE-2022-0216?

A use-after-free vulnerability exists in the LSI53C895A SCSI Host Bus Adapter emulation within QEMU. This issue manifests when handling repeated cancellation messages for ongoing SCSI requests through the lsi_do_msgout function. A malicious privileged user operating within a guest environment could exploit this flaw to crash the QEMU process on the host system, thereby causing a denial of service.
