What is CVE-2022-0718?
A vulnerability exists in python-oslo-utils that stems from improper parsing of passwords. When a password contains a double quote, the logging mechanism fails to mask parts of the password correctly in debug logs, resulting in the leakage of sensitive information. This could allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to credentials exposed in log files, raising significant security concerns for applications relying on this utility.
