What is CVE-2022-21158?

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability exists in Marktext prior to version 0.17.0. This flaw is due to improper handling of links utilizing the javascript: scheme within documents. If exploited, this vulnerability allows an attacker to execute arbitrary scripts on the user's PC when they open a manipulated Marktext document. Such scenarios may lead to unauthorized access to sensitive information or malicious actions being performed in the context of the user. It is recommended to upgrade to version 0.17.0 or later to mitigate this risk.
