What is CVE-2022-23327?

A significant design flaw exists in Go-Ethereum versions 1.10.12 and prior, which could be exploited by an attacker node. This flaw enables the attacker to issue a large volume of future transactions with inflated gas prices in a single message, leading to the potential purging of all pending transactions from a targeted node's memory pool. The result is a Denial of Service (DoS) condition that disrupts normal network operations and impacts Ethereum's decentralized transaction framework.
