What is CVE-2022-24049?

A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the Sonos One Speaker prior to specified versions, which allows attackers to execute arbitrary code without authentication. The flaw is caused by improper validation of user-supplied data length within the ALAC audio codec, potentially leading to stack-based buffer overflow. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to run code as root, compromising the integrity of affected devices.
