What is CVE-2022-25294?

The Proofpoint Insider Threat Management Agent for Windows has a vulnerability that allows an unprivileged local Windows user to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges. This exposes systems to potential risks as attackers could exploit this inherent flaw in versions prior to 7.12.1. Proofpoint has released an updated version, 7.12.1, to mitigate this issue.
