What is CVE-2022-25358?

A path traversal vulnerability in Awful Salmonella Tar allows attackers to list directories within the software version prior to 0.0.4. The vulnerability arises due to the omission of the safe-path? scheme predicate for directory paths, which enables malicious users to exploit the system's ability to traverse file paths without proper permission checks. This security flaw may lead to potential reconnaissance by revealing directory structures but does not permit file reading.
